Thistlbot is 7.5 feet tall, made of plate metals and looks just like the iron giant.

Early on in her career working between the Whiskerton Theives Guild and the Greenbottle Tinkerer's Guild, she was assisting her lifelong friend Inigo Montucky on a heist of the Whiskerton Armada complex. The heist involved destroying the means of production for a gnomish automaton manufacturing facility and stealing some very valuable parts only made at this factory. Thistle was only brought along so that she could identify what parts were worth stealing before Inigo burned the building.

Upon opening a vault at the center of the complex, Thistle and Inigo found a large humanoid form hidden by a dust covered tarp. Overcome with curiosity, Thistle yanked the tarp to reveal an old prototype automaton that seemed to have been discarded long ago.

Dust surrounds Thistle and the now loudly sneezing Inigo Montucky as grinding and whirring noises emit from the robot. Claxons begin to blare throughout the facility and within seconds Inigo and Thistle are cornered by gnomish guards in the vault. With no clear route to escape, the two thieves slowly retreat behind the automaton. Suddenly the robot takes a single step forward and lazily swings one massive arm over its shoulder before bringing it down in a backhand motion to slam the nearest guard against the wall.

As Inigo remains frozen in shock, Thistle climbs up the back of the robot and perches atop its shoulder. The automaton lurches forward wiping out another guard with each step. The pair slowly makes its way to the edge of the facility leaving a wake of unconscious and incapacitated guards while Inigo trails at a safe distance.

By the time the trio made it back to the Thieves guild, Thistle knew that she had made a new forever friend who would be forever known as Thistlbot
